Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement 2026

1. Introduction

Vensa Technology is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and its supply chains. This statement sets out the actions we have taken to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to our business and to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and our supply chains.

This statement relates to the financial year ending 2026 and is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

2. Our Business & Structure

Vensa Technology is a recruitment agency operating within the IT and Technology sectors in the UK. We provide temporary, permanent, and contract staffing solutions to clients across the United Kingdom.

Our supply chain consists primarily of:

  • Umbrella companies and payroll providers.
  • Other recruitment agencies (for sub-contracting).
  • Office equipment and service suppliers (IT, cleaning, facilities).

3. Our Policies on Modern Slavery

We operate several internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  • Anti-Slavery Policy: Outlining our zero-tolerance approach.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: Encouraging all workers, customers, and business partners to report concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • Recruitment/Agency Workers Policy: Ensuring we only use reputable agencies and that all workers are vetted.

4. Due Diligence Processes

As a recruitment provider, we recognise that our primary risk lies in the provision of labour. We undertake the following due diligence:

  • Identity & Right to Work: We conduct robust face-to-face or digital identity checks to ensure every worker has the right to work in the UK.
  • Direct Payment: We ensure all temporary workers are paid into a bank account in their own name.
  • Umbrella Company Vetting: We regularly audit our Preferred Supplier List (PSL) of umbrella companies to ensure they are FCSA or Professional Passport accredited.
  • Contractual Terms: Our terms of business include specific clauses requiring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

5. Risk Assessment

We regularly review our supply chain to identify "at-risk" areas. In 2026, we have focused on:

  • The use of sub-contractors and "neutral vendor" models.
  • Monitoring for indicators of "debt bondage" or forced labour.

6. Training & Awareness

We provide mandatory training to all staff involved in recruitment and procurement, including identifying "red flags" such as workers unable to produce their own passports or appearing to be under the control of others.

7. Our Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • 100% of our internal staff complete modern slavery awareness training annually.
  • 100% of our high-risk suppliers have provided their own modern slavery statements.
  • No reports are received regarding modern slavery practices within our business.
